Berlin
The city that stole my heart over the past years.
The city I think I was meant to live in.
I love everything about it, the people, the rich culture, the history, all kinds of neighborhoods. The fact that every neighborhood is like another small city.
The diversity, it's just amazing! I always get so enthusiastic telling about it, can you tell :)?
This piece is about the Wall, or Die Mauer. The East Side Gallery is the biggest existing piece of the Wall still standing. All kinds of artists made their own beautiful creation on a piece of the Wall.
Every time when I'm in Berlin I get drawn to it. It just contains so much history.
It gives me such a special feeling to be walking around there, on a place where so much has happened. I kind of have that feeling the whole time I"m in Berlin. You can see it in everything that the city was divided into two pieces, the east and west. You are constantly reminded of it in all kinds of ways.
I think the best way to experience it, is to walk/cycle around the city, and explore all the different neighborhoods.
And that's exactly what I'v been doing so far, every time I'm in Berlin.
